In comparison we have to subscribe to an expensive invoicing program, processing is delayed at five days, whoever we hire for invoicing must know or learn some electrical, customers are trying to tell me how much an hour our company is worth, and they refuse to pay for part acquisitions.

The average time I spend on damage control per incident is about 40 minutes on the phone (20 minutes hearing the complaint, 20 minutes calling back fixing the complaint), and 40 minutes off the phone meeting the electrician that did the work, and strategizing my justification or imagining negotiations, which will only result in the lowering the price, all to retain the customer for the future, if I'm lucky.

Fact being, the company's services is worth at least $20.00 more an hour to properly fuel growth and the employee retention benefits. I just don't have enough staff to handle damage control the potential complaints of a raised open hourly rate. Right now T&M is the greatest inhibitor of future growth, and it is my number one problem. Once I found the flat rate system [Flat Rate Plus], I ordered it next day air."
